OVEN
- Preheat oven to 220 degrees.
- Make sure the xuixos are well dusted with granulated sugar.
- Place the xuixos on a baking tray.
- Put the tray in the oven and bake the xuixos for about 5 minutes, turning them over until we attain the desired crispiness.
GRILL/BARBECUE
- Get the grill or barbecue ready.
- Make sure the xuixos are well dusted with granulated sugar.
- Lay the xuixos on the charcoal grill, making sure the coals are not flaming too high so as not to burn or overheat them.
- Grill the xuixos on either side until they are crispy.
PAN/GRIDDLE
- Heat the pan, preferably a non-stick or oil-free griddle.
- Turn the xuixos until you get the desired crispiness.
PRESENTATION
You can serve xuixos with ice cream, fresh cut fruit, whipped cream or melted hot chocolate poured over the xuixos. They can be paired with a grenache, a sweet wine or a cool glass of cava.
There are many ways to make xuixos even better and offer a more complete gastronomic experience.
